payment & delivery


You are buying directly from the artist and all transactions, packing and delivery arrangements are dealt with personally by Sarah. 

Payment
A quote will be emailed for the total cost of the painting (excluding freight cost) prior to beginning a commission. Pricing is determined generally by the size of the painting canvas using a formula of $1500 per sq m plus GST. 

In order to secure your commission a deposit of $200 is required. On completion of a painting Sarah will send an invoice for the balance due.

You have the option of paying by:

  • cash in person

  • direct debit into her account (preferred)  - Sarah will provide an invoice and bank details.

Payment must be received and cleared prior to delivery.

Delivery
Once payment is received Sarah will then make delivery arrangements.

If you live in the local area paintings can be picked up from the studio. Larger paintings usually require a larger 4Wd size vehicle or may have to be couriered. If freighting is required, depending on the size of your purchase, Sarah will use a reputable courier. She will gather quotes for you and you can select which suits best.

Delivery times will vary according to the product and destination.
Please allow 3 – 7 business days for delivery within Australia
7 – 14 business days for delivery worldwide
Please allow extra time for customs clearance on international shipments.

The artwork will be professionally packed using bubble wrap, thick cardboard and it will be clearly labelled.

If sending internationally it is usually best for the painting’s protection and more cost-effective to send the canvas rolled. Sarah takes the artwork off the stretched timber frame, rolls it and packs it into a sturdy postal tube. Her preferred courier for this service is Pack & Send Couriers who are art specialists. When the painting is received you can take it to a framer to re-stretch onto a new timber frame. Sarah can send photos of how the original was stretched as that can be helpful to the framer.

Sarah will notify you by email when the art courier has picked up the painting from her door and when it is expected to arrive at your door. You will also be able to track your item. It is advised that someone be on hand to receive the painting and sign for it.

All artworks arrive ready to hang with a high quality, fitted cord hanger at the rear. They have a title written on the back of the canvas and Sarah’s signature in a corner of the painting. Each painting has been carefully sealed and administered with a protective varnish coat which not only enriches the paint colours but allows you to care for the piece easily. They may be dusted or wiped gently with a clean soft and slightly damp cloth.
